Lantern Hollow

Lantern Hollow is a calm, atmospheric adventure that trades action for mood. You explore a small village at dusk, solving light environmental puzzles and slowly piecing together what happened there. It's the sort of game you play with headphones on.

Everything is tap-to-move and tap-to-interact, which suits a phone perfectly. Puzzles are logical rather than obtuse, so we never had to reach for a walkthrough. The art and sound do most of the storytelling, and they do it beautifully.

It's short — a few evenings — but it doesn't overstay its welcome. Sometimes that's exactly what you want from a mobile game.
